Monica stood as the Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate in Esher and Walton in the 2019 General Election and achieved an 18.5% swing against the incumbent, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab – the largest swing in the country. By inspiring a moderate coalition she reduced his majority from 23,000 to 2,700 and made a one of the safest Conservative seats in the country a marginal one.

Monica has worked as a CEO, Director and consultant in the UK and internationally across government, charity and business sectors. She has held trustee positions with international charities and sits on the Board of Princess Alice Hospice and a School Governor. She has four school-age children.
